Fundraising for Small Boards
One of the primary objectives of a successful, well governed Board of Trustees is that is has a true philanthropic vision, with Board members being visible, and active fundraisers for the school. Is fundraising one of your agenda items to review at every Board meeting? If not, it should be!
The ability to successfully fundraise requires Board members to know how to take a confident first step toward cultivating and making the ask of a potential donor. This first step can be quite intimidating for some Board members, and understandably so. This is where we can assist. We have years of proven fundraising successes, and can lead your Board members through our fundraising workshops to give them proven tactics to help begin their fundraising activities. Our Retreat focused on “The 10 Steps to Making a Successful Ask for Board Members” will review the donor identification, cultivation, and ask strategies to enable your Board members to be prepared to meet with that key donor. Your Board will come away from our Retreats with actionable ideas to begin to implement these new strategies immediately.
Do your Board members say that they don’t know anyone to ask for a donation, and have no idea how to identify potential donors? Do they need assistance on how to retain donors, and donor recognition ideas? Does your Board need Campaign planning assistance? At EAS, our fundraising professionals can assist with all of these topics, and offer proven methodologies to help your school’s development efforts be successful.
Please contact EAS for more information on taking the first step toward success in fundraising.
