Moravian Academy Announces Appointment of New Director of Upper School
03 May 2010George N. King, Jr., Headmaster, announced the appointment of Dr. Richard Krohn as Moravian Academy's Director of Upper School effective July 1, 2010. Dr. Krohn is delighted to return to Moravian Academy after spending the last 20 years teaching at independent schools both domestically and internationally.
Dr. Krohn is currently teaching Modern World History at the International School in Panama. He has chaired the history department and served as senior mentor at St. Paul's School in Baltimore, Maryland. Earlier in his career he was the Upper School principal at Unversity-Liggett School in Grosse Point, Michigan. During his time at Moravian Academy, Dr. Krohn taught in the history and English departments and he co-authored the Academy's history book: Mind, Body and Spirit 1742-1992. Dr. Jung, Education Access Strategies, will continue to work with Mr. King and Dr. Krohn on transition and producing the EAS signature "First 100 Day Plan" for Dr. Krohn and the school.
